Jul 04, Julie Bates rated it it was amazing. I loved the first book with its historical notes and adaptations. This one takes it up a notch with explanations of the way traditional kimonos were layered and how each season dictated a different color selection. I also thought the inclusion of shells to wear underneath, while not traditional, very interesting.

I've already got a project or two planned. May 19, Susan Eubank rated it really liked it. I love the body designs of the kimono. I was more drawn to the more "traditional ones" in the first book, but there were several interesting patterns here too, that I think I could adapt to my desires. Jun 01, Tonileg rated it it was ok Shelves: knitting-crafts. I love the idea of Asia inspired knits, but this is yet another collection with beautiful pictures and ideas, but only one project that I would actually wear. Every normalish shape of sweater, cardigan and vest is in this book and most of the patterns are one color with easy to find yarns like Cascade which make for affordable projects.

Kind of boring although it was a good idea. Jan 13, Laura rated it really liked it Shelves: adult , knitting , read , review-on-blog.

The patterns in this book were simply gorgeous. I loved the colors, styles, and shapes of the sweaters. That being said, I wasn't so in love with them that I had to whip out my needles and start knitting my own creation The layout and overall design of the book was fabulous as well. I would definitely recommend this book. Apr 06, VJ rated it really liked it. Continuing where Knit Kimono ends, this book gives instruction for completing more kimono designs.

They are not overly complicated, but ambitious in the amount of knitting required.
